Eileen Hastings received her B.A. from UCLA with degrees in Philosophy and Law. She pursued careers in education starting with a position at the Grace Fernald campus at UCLA where she specialized in working with teens with learning disabilities. She next worked at the Oakwood School in North Hollywood, CA where she taught first grade. Throughout her teaching, Eileen acquired the experience necessary to facilitate good communication between parents, students, and faculty.

In addition to her work in education, Eileen has worked as a physical therapist with clients in varying degrees of pain, both physical and emotional. She has worked with several families over the course of many years as they go through the many upheavals life has offered. Some of the families have been clients for over 18 years.

In working with families and school systems for 23 years, Eileen has become deeply committed to the positive interactions and communication between children and their parents, and the community at large.
